North Area beat Harding. We had a busy day with field day and both kids having ball games.

Field Day

Today was the end of year Peace program and field day. Gabrielle smoked everyone in her class in the 50 yard dash. She said she didn't like this race but she sure looks like she is having fun.

North Area Scrimage vs North Polars

Both kids were playing at the same time tonight. North Area had a scrimmage against the North Polars that North Area won. I missed Roseville playing Shoreview, Roseville won.

Roseville vs. Oakdale

Finally, a nice day for baseball. Roseville beat Oakdale 6-2.

Roseville Fast Pitch Softball Spectacular

This was a spectacular, alright, a spectacular mess. The tournament was supposed to run Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was rained out. North Area played Roseville Sunday morning and won. Played Woodbury in the afternoon and lost. The game was set to an hour time limit, Woodbury got their at bat and the umpire called the game without giving North Area their at bat. As we were waiting to find out when we played again it started to down pour with lightening so the tournament was called.

Roseville vs. Forest Lake

Roseville was down 4-8 in the middle of the fifth inning and came back to win 12-8 at the bottom of the fifth. Another crap happy day, it rained for half the game.

North Area vs. Phalen

As usual I don't know the what the score was for each game but North Area won both. This is Gabrielle's first time pitching. She pitched two innings in the first game. Each inning she struck two girls out and threw the girl out at first who hit the ball. Second game, she pitched the last inning and struck the girls out 1, 2, 3.

Roseville vs. Spring Lake Park

Roseville beat Spring Lake Park ending the game in the fifth inning due to the 10 run rule. Final score 11-1.

St. Croix Tournament - Day 2

This is my post for yesterday, I was so tired I fell asleep on the couch by 9:30. Not a good day for baseball. The first game was cold and windy. The second game was cold, windy and rainy. To make matters worse, Roseville lost both of their games. Jake is running home and behind him Dad is instructing the runner at second base.

St. Croix Tournament - Day 1

Jake stealing home to score the first run of the game in the fifth inning. Roseville got swinging in the fifth inning. They beat South St. Paul 10-0. Another crap happy day, no rain but it was cold and windy.

The Start of Softball Season is Under Way

Gabrielle had her first fast-pitch softball game yesterday. All of their games are double headers. They played East Ridge and won both games. It was a crap happy day, cold and rainy. It drizzled for the majority of the two hours they played.

New Residents

These bunnies have taken refuge in our back yard the last few days. I don't know if they think the downed tree branch gives them cover? On Sunday, the lounging bunny laid in the same spot from the time I got up that morning until about 6:00 that evening. Then the other one came along and they started playing. They would stare each other down and then the smaller one would leap frog over the bigger one.

I don't know what the final score was, I had to leave to pick Gabrielle up from softball practice. Centennial was ahead when I left.
