Palace Tournament 10U Girls Champs

The North Dale girls team played in the Palace 10U tournament taking 1st place. They played two games yesterday and two games today, winning all four.

Sunday, February 21

Jake had play-offs this weekend. Saturday we were back and forth between Anoka and St. Paul for both kids games. Sunday we were lucky to just have Jake's second play-off game. They won their game on Saturday but lost on Sunday. Regardless, they will play again next weekend because they won one game.

Saturday, February 20

Gabrielle had a tournament out in Anoka, three games in seven hours. The North Dale team has played one season together consisting of 8 games. They played in a fourth grade traveling tournament so these girls are older and play basketball year round. North Dale stayed strong in the first half of all three games but ended up losing all three games. Coach used this as a scrimmage to get them ready for their tournament next weekend. They still managed to get a trophy even though they lost all of their games.

Friday, February 19

This team was a little physical, I thought there was going to be a brawl at one point. The Wannabe's ended up winning 4-1.

Undefeated (Feb. 13)

The 10U girls had their last game of the season. We heard Sheffer was undefeated but one of the refs said they had lost one game. It was stressful and I yelled the entire game. We pulled ahead early and then they caught up and it stayed even until the last 5 minutes of the game. We finally pulled ahead even though we were called for a few fouls that resulted in free throws. The girls were so excited.

The Older Boys Having Fun (Feb. 12)

The Wannabe's won this game 4-1. This should have been their last game but the season is now being extended. Yee-ha. I'll have to learn to wear my snow pants because Gabrielle skates and Jake plays hockey with his friends on the other rinks. I always sit in the warming house because I get too cold.

B-Ball Tornament (Feb. 11)

North Dale had their first annual basketball tournament. Jake made a three pointer in the game and was very excited, even though they lost.

Another Tooth Lost

Gabrielle lost another tooth. She seems to lose them in two's. She lost the one on the other side a week ago. This one was hanging they a thread but she would not let us pull it. She would try, but was unsuccessful. It came out as she was eating pizza for dinner.

Saturday

We went to see cousin Josh play basketball since Gabrielle's game was in the morning and Jake had a "bye" this week.

The State of Hockey

These boys get pretty intense playing this game. It ended up as a tie after a two minute overtime.

Creativity

The kids have come up with their own game to keep occupied. One tries to throw the ball over the other's head in hope they aren't able to jump up and hit it back.
