Twins Fest

Tom didn't go last year so he wanted to go this year. He bought some things but I think the most expensive buy was the three bottles of pop at $4 a bottle. Jake hung out at the Best Buy area and played PS3 while Gabrielle was working the sports challenge obstacle course. I tried to keep the kids busy while Tom looked for cards and other collectibles.

North Dale

Even though it's freezing cold Gabrielle wanted to go to the rec center to skate. Her, Jake and Tom played some hockey. I stayed in the warming house most of the time. Some of Jake's friends came up so he went in to play basketball with them.

Como Cougars

After practice tonight the girls got to go watch the local high school girls team play. After the game they got to meet some of the players, Gabrielle thought that was cool.

Tooth Fairy - Wednesday

Finally, Gabrielle lost her tooth that has been hanging by a thread. It came out with a little assistance from her brother.

Lounge Night

We are sitting around watching The Biggest Loser. Gabrielle usually goes to Jake's practice but he gets home too late so we made her stay home tonight.

Christmas Lights

A month after Christmas and I'm finally getting the lights down. I tried a couple of weekends ago but the excess Tom tucked into the gutters was frozen in the gutters.

Saturday Games

They shoot, they score. Gabrielle played in the morning, her team won. Jake played in the afternoon, his team lost.

Timberwolves

Gabrielle was given tickets for the Timberwolves game from the American Heart Association for participating in the jump-a-thon. Both the kids got t-shirts and a free meal. Rydel, Matt, and Buster were there so they came over to say Hi.

Up In The Air

Gabrielle is working on her front layout. She just moved up to level 5. Her class is for both level 5 and 6. She is the only level 5 girl and her teacher told us she keeps up well with the level 6 girls.

Socks

The worst part of laundry, socks. I will be matching socks while I watch The Biggest Loser.

Skates

Gabrielle decided she wanted skates when we were at North Dale for Tom's boot hockey game. Well, here are her skates.

Cowboys vs Vikings

I'm sure most of Minnesota was watching the game today. The Vikings gave the Cowboys a beat down. Now I'm watching the Golden Globes.

ND vs Conway

Jake's team got a beat down today. Gabrielle's team won 20-0 against WSBG Club.

Boot Hockey

Boot hockey started last week but Jake had a basketball tournament so Tom couldn't play. They had a double header tonight. Go Wannabe's.

The Pain Has Set In

Jake's teeth have started hurting and he says it feels weird to eat. Tom ran to get more ice cream to make him shakes.

Braces

Jake just had his upper braces put on. He chose dark orange bands to get as close as he could to the Texas Longhorn colors. He is eating some cinnamon bread and says it feels funny. At least the pain hasn't set in yet. He is happy that he'll be able to eat his favorite food more often - pasta. He is not happy that he can't eat Starburst or Skittles for almost two years.

Car Trouble

Gabrielle called me about 15 minutes after I dropped them off at school saying she forgot her shoes. I just happened to have been five blocks away from the house so I went back to get her shoes. Pulled in the driveway, shut the car off, went into the house, came back out, go to start the car....it won't start. Tom got to drive home, figure out what the problem was, drive me up to school to drop Gabrielle's shoes off (she was in gym class when I got there), drive me back home and go back to work. After work he replaced the starter, finished in time to eat dinner, drop the kids at basketball practice and go up to school for a meeting.

Trading Cards

Tom has a renewed interest in his baseball cards. We went to a card show yesterday and a new store he discovered. Now he's on Amazon.com looking at buying 22 cards.

Crafting

Gabrielle went to her friend's house today and she came home with a gift, Sticker Scratcherz. She is teaching Jake how it works.

Game Time

Go Gabrielle, go. 10U girls had their first game of the season and won 20-14. Jake's team won their first game too.

Langford Tournament

Jake's team is playing in a tournament that started yesterday and goes through Sunday. My camera doesn't work well in this gym because it's too dark but I thought this was kind of a neat picture since most of his body is clear and the background is all blurry. Maybe it's because he's so fast, his nickname is Flash after all.

Homework

Gabrielle went to the triplet's house after school today and came home a half hour before she had to be to basketball practice. Now it's a half hour past her bedtime and she is trying to finish homework that is due tomorrow.
